My name is Sarah, and this blog grew out of my love of travel, outdoor activities, and my dog Rita.
I adopted Rita in June 2018, when she was just 7 months old. We have been inseparable ever since and enjoy visiting different places for lengthy walks and novel pursuits.
We’ve done the “doggy instagram” for some fun, but the idea for this blog came when I was trying to find dog-friendly day trips in Canada, upon securing a 2-year job contract there. However, Rita’s and my plans to fly over were halted due to the pandemic, and so once local restrictions began relaxing, I decided to make the most of my time “stuck at home” and document our adventures in Northern Ireland.
Around this time, Rita also took up the role of Discovery Dog with Dog Friendly Guru, solidifying our purpose of promoting dog-friendly activities and venues.
We hope to entertain and inspire other dog+human combos around the world and encourage them to never leave each other’s sides, as no amount of time spent together is ever enough.
